Bon Jovi

My favourite band is Bon Jovi. The band was formed in 1983 and they had a smash hit "Runaway" that was on the top of the charts. Jon Bon Jovi (John Bongiovi) had some tracks before 1983 that is called the POWER STATION YEARS 1980-1983. Their second album "7800 FAHRENHEIT" was not so successful but "Livin' On A Prayer" and "You Give Love a Bad Name" from "SLIPPERY WHEN WET" album brought them the success in 1986. After this album came another big hit album called "NEW JERSEY" in 1988. During these years they travelled through the world several times and the band became tired so they had a little pause. During this time both Jon and Richie made his first solo album "BLAZE OF GLORY" and "STRANGER IN THIS TOWN". Most of the fans were afraid that the band was going to collapse when they came out with a totally different album "KEEP THE FAITH". This album was another kind of Bon Jovi both in appearance and in songs. It was a little bit softer, containing more ballads. But everybody was satisfied with the new style so the band could move on but without Alec John Such who played the bass guitar and had a grandfather from Hungary called Szûcs. We can call this time the mid-term, when the band released a best of album, "CROSSROAD". In 1995 the band continued issuing the albums with "THESE DAYS" that was even more softer in style. After "THESE DAYS" they put in another pause. That was the time of the second solo album. Bon Jovi - DESTINATION ANYWHERE and Richie Sambora - UNDISCOVERED SOULS. And finally the band came together to make a band album called "CRUSH" in 2000 with the smash hit "It's My Life". While the band was out touring in 2001, they released ONE WILD NIGHT: LIVE 1985-2001. This was Bon Jovi's first-ever live album. When the CRUSH and ONE WILD NIGHT tours were complete, the members of Bon Jovi had anticipated a brief vacation before work would begin on the band's 8th studio album. But on September 11th, the world changed. Within days of the terrorist attacks, Jon and Richie had filmed Public Service Announcements for the Red Cross and performed as part of the historic A TRIBUTE TO HEROES live telethon. And on October 21st, Bon Jovi performed at the monumental CONCERT FOR NEW YORK at Madison Square Garden, raising relief funds and honouring those who worked to save lives during the terror. In March 2002, BON JOVI entered the recording studio to begin recording their 8th studio album, BOUNCE. After the Bounce world tour, tha band decided to give the fans a compilation album but in another way as we expected. "THIS LEFT FEELS RIGHT" presents 12 top hit tracks in a soulish way. The album contains a bonus dvd, where we can watch some unplugged recordings never seen before! 100.000.000 Bon Jovi fans can't be wrong... As the 100,000,000 mark in sales was approaching and as the band was nearing the 20th anniversary of the release of the debut album, it was time to take a step back and celebrate those milestones while giving the longtime fans a THANK YOU. It was time for the band to go into the vaults and unearth some hidden treasures that until now have not been shared with the fans. These treasures appears us in a BOXSET of 4 cd's and a bonus dvd! Enjoy...

I have all their albums and here I would like to share with you their lyrics. Just click on the picture to explore the amazing lyrics.
